  • Use your GPS to get to the Sayville Ferry (41 River Road, Sayville NY 11782) and take the Long Island Expressway (I-495).

    Once arrived, you will be able to park at the River Road Parking (50 River Rd, Sayville, NY 11782) and walk to the Ferry located less than 400ft away.

    Ferry tickets are $20 roundtrip. They accept cards until start boarding, then it’s cash only. Try to be at the ferry at least 20 minutes before boarding. View their Cherry Grove and Pines schedules here.

  • Check schedules and costs on the MTA/Long Island Railroad (LIRR) website, and book your tickets on the MTA Train Time app.

    Take the MTA to your closest LIRR stop. Take the LIRR to Sayville station.

    At the Sayville train station, look for the Shuttle(s) to the Sayville Ferry that are typically a few feet away from the station and offer $6 rides to the Ferry (cash only, try to have exact change). This is about a 10 minute ride.

    The shuttle will drop you off at the Sayville Ferry that will take you to Cherry Grove or Fire Island Pines. Ferry tickets are $20 roundtrip.   • The LIRR ticket machine sells a beach getaway package (approx. $43.25) that is up to 40% cheaper than paying for each mode of transportation a la carte. It includes the following:

    • Discounted LIRR train tickets to/from Sayville station.

    • Round trip Colonial Taxi* vouchers (to go from Sayville station to the ferry).

    • Round trip Sayville Ferry vouchers.

    HOW TO BUY

    You can only buy the package deals at LIRR train stations by using a Gray, Green or Blue Ticket Machines (not available at the Red, Daily Ticket Machines):

    • Select “MTA Away Deals”

    • Select “Long Island Deals” and choose the Cherry Grove package

    • Multiple tickets/vouchers will print. Be sure to take all items dispensed.

    • All machines accept credit and debit cards; Gray and Green machines also accept cash.
